Sarah Sheehan

Director of University Initiatives

Sarah is responsible for the coordination of community and civic outreach related to university projects and campus plans. Sarah serves as the University’s liaison to the City of Chicago on university matters including development projects, land use planning and the coordination of city services. Sarah’s role includes engaging the University’s neighbors to provide information on the University’s planning process in meaningful forums.

Sarah joined the University of Chicago in May 2013, from the City of Chicago. She holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois and bachelor’s degrees in both Geography and Public Policy from DePaul University.
