Shaz Rasul

Director of Community Programs

As Director of Community Programs, Shaz is responsible for identifying ways to help local non-profits by connecting them to UChicago faculty, students, and staff. He also provides strategic leadership to the Neighborhood Schools Program (NSP). Shaz has worked in various roles at the University since 2001, including serving as Director of NSP from 2010 to 2013, helping to place approximately 350 UChicago students a year in local K-12 schools to assist teachers and tutor students.

Shaz earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Chicago.
