Lisa La Vallee, Director of Communications
As Director of Communications Lisa La Vallee provides internal and external communications support to the Office of the Vice President for Research and for National Laboratories. Her responsibilities include overall communications planning and execution, writing and editing, event planning, website development and public relations.
La Vallee joined the University in January, 2006. Her previous work experience includes overseeing North American internal communications, public relations and analyst relations for T-Systems, a $10 billion division of Deutsche Telekom; directing marketing and communications for information technology service provider, Nuclio Corporation; and product management, marketing and internal communications for SBC (now AT&T). La Vallee received her B.A. in English with a writing emphasis from Santa Clara University and her M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
