NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior men's track & field athlete Zach Rodgers (Nashville, Tenn./ University) is among 58 student-athletes nationwide to have been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for spring sports. The NCAA awards postgraduate scholarships to 29 men and 29 women each fall, winter, and spring. |

Chicago Places 10th at NCAA Championship
OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Led by sophomore throwers Nicole Murphy (Coppell, Texas/ Coppell) and Claire Ray (Park Ridge, Ill./ St. Ignatius) (pictured), the University of Chicago women's outdoor track & field team captured 10th place at the 2008 NCAA Division III Championship. With 21 points, Chicago tied Messiah College and Texas Lutheran University for 10th place in the final team standings. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Illinois Wesleyan University shared the team title with 35 points each. |

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior men's basketball player Nate Hainje (Brownsburg, Ind./ Brownsburg) has been named to the 2008 State Farm NCAA Division III All-America Second Team. Averaging 16.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, Hainje led Chicago to the UAA championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament. |
