CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's swimming & diving team was ranked 23rd in the latest NCAA Division III dual meet poll conducted by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

Maroons Train in Costa Rica

During this year's winter break, the University of Chicago men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams will travel to San Jose, Costa Rica, to train and compete in the warmth of Central America.  While there, the team plans to send a daily blog of the trip written by first-year students, Lelia Glass and Zach Lain.

Maroons Advance to NCAA Round of 16

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Freshman goalkeeper Emma Gormley (Carmel, Ind./ Carmel) made one save and scored the deciding goal in the penalty kick shootout as the University of Chicago women's soccer team advanced past Calvin College in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament Saturday afternoon.

Maroons Reclaim Founders Cup

CHICAGO -- Freshman tailback Francis Adarkwa (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) rushed for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the University of Chicago defeated Washington (Mo.) University 17-14 in University Athletic Association football action Saturday at Stagg Field. With the victory, Chicago regained possession of the Founders Cup, which has been awarded to the Chicago-Washington winner annually since 1987. The Maroons last won the cup in 2005.

MOBILE, Ala. -- University of Chicago freshman women's tennis player Jennifer Kung (Sunnyvale, Calif./ Homestead) captured the singles title at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Small College Championship held Thursday through Saturday at the Copleland-Cox Tennnis Center.
