Orientation Week

The University of Chicago welcomes new students to campus with a series of unique activities and cherished traditions to introduce them to their peers and new intellectual home. The week of events includes convocations for both graduate and College students—and culminates in the cherished Aims of Education address at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.

Opening Convocation for Graduate Students

The Sept. 22 event welcomed new students to UChicago with remarks from President Paul Alivisatos and UChicago leaders, an address by Prof. Nicholas Hatsopoulos, and a welcome from the Graduate Council and UChicagoGRAD.
